If someone on your Board, Staff or Committees is the Main Contactfor a record, you can give them a to track and manage their assignments. It is recommended that you assign each
Master Record to only one Portfolio to avoid confusion or double-contacting a donor.
To have a Board, Staff or Committee Member show up on the list of Portfolios to choose from, they must have a assigned on their
Person record. This is easy to do. Simply go to their individual
Person record, find the ‘Portfolio Name' field and put in a unique name for them. It could be as simple as 'Sue Smith.' This will give Sue Smith the ability to 'adopt' other
Master Records as her own. This will also give her the ability to put items on the
Calendar. Giving her a Portfolio Name here does not have anything to do with giving her a
Username to log in and out of the database, she needs something in both fields to be able to both log in to Donor Mine™ AND to be able to have
Master Record or
Calendar items assigned to her.
To remove a Portfolio from your list, go to the individual
Person record, find the ‘Portfolio Name’ field and remove the data there.
